Welcome to our photo page.  This page will be changing, from time to time, with photo being taken down and more put up.  While the main subject will be centered around time spent on the pontoon boat, there will also be photos and stories about what's happening with us.
The holidays are approaching fast, which means that we will be getting together to feast on the usual fare.  It is also a time when we take lots of photos, so be sure to keep checking back to see what we're up to.

Most of these photos were taken at Patoka Lake.
Those floating cabins are really floating.  When Deeadra, who handles most of the vacation planning, first mentioned staying in a floating cabin, some of us had visions being seasick, and of pots, pans and plates sliding back and forth while meals were being prepared and ate.  Fred had visions of the toilet sloshing and of sliding off the toilet when hit by a big wave.
Luckly, none of those things happened.  After a while we don't notice the movement, which there is some, unless we look out the windows and see the shore.
During a couple of our stays there has been some bad weather.  Every once in a while we would hear and feel the cabin bump against the dock, which was barely enough to wake us up.
It would be hard to say who likes staying in the floating cabin more, Abel or the grandkids.  All of them spend most of their time standing on the docks fishing... and catching.

Matthew catches a bluegill

Brooke caught a bluegill, too, while Matthew reels in another one

Abel must be getting tired, she's sitting and leaning on the back of the seat

Abel's napping instead of fishing. The soft seats are nice to nap on

Those aren't stumps, they're fish hotels

A couple out for a mid-fall sail as they enjoy nature's beauty

This is Logan's first fish, caught a Bluegrass Lake

Bill must be remembering the ones that got away

Everyone is looking sad, I guess it's because it's our last day at Patoka Lake for the year

Maybe not everyone is sad, Logan and Matthew are always cutting up and goofing off

Hey, what's Fred doing on another pontoon boat, that's the one we rented at Kentucky Lake
